VS309 CALCULATOR — HOW TO USE (QUICK SHEET) ============================================ OPEN IT The desktop app, or https://calc.fstoversite.cloud in a browser. LAYOUT Inputs are on the LEFT (collapsible trays — click a header to open one; only one opens at a time). Results update live on the RIGHT. Prefer a guided path? Click "Walkthrough" (top bar) to step through each section in a pop-out with Back/Next. FILL IN THE SECTIONS (TOP TO BOTTOM) 1. Project — company/header, project name, client, total building SF, and the project ZIP (sets delivery distances from the nearest plant). 2. Corrected area (head-to-head) — name and set the two scenarios: "With FST" (% still needing leveling after our oversight, e.g. 15) vs "Typical" (e.g. 70). This drives the leveling flow. 3. VS309 pricing — warranted and non-warranted $/SF. 4. Competitor (MVE) — tick "requires moisture mitigation" if the job needs it, then set the mitigated area %, MVE $/SF, install rate, and the MVE product (auto-fills coverage, density, and nearest plant). Confirm the sourcing distance; add a primer only if used. 5. Leveling cost — leveler material ($/SF at 1/4" — scales with the thickness you enter) and labor ($/SF). 6. LEED — leveling carbon — pick the leveler product (auto-fills density + GWP), the plant, the coat thickness (fractions OK, e.g. 1/4), and over-pour %. 7. Shotblast prep & install energy — grid factor, prep cost/rate/electricity, leveler rate/electricity, haul distance, truck factor, and blast-abrasive make-up + GWP + haul. 8. Shotblast spoil to landfill — spoil lb/SF and disposal $/ton. 9. MVE prep (CSP-3) — the shot-blast prep MVE requires (cost, rate, electricity, abrasive, spoil, disposal) — VS309 eliminates all of it. GENERATE THE REPORT Click "Generate PDF Report" (top bar). On desktop it saves a PDF; in the browser it opens the report — choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. The report carries the FST header on every page. TIPS - Grey notes under each field explain what it means — read them if unsure. - Presets do the work: picking a product fills coverage/density/GWP; ZIP + product fills haul distance. Override any value by typing over it. - Fractions are fine in the thickness field (1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2). - Turn mitigation off (step 4) for leveling-only jobs — the mitigation results hide. - Blast-abrasive and primer default to reasonable/zero estimates — confirm them for a project before using those figures in a formal claim.
